I just wanted to a minute to thank a few people who
have helped me make this site possible. All too often things go without
being said and I certainly would not have been able to accomplish some
of the things I have done without the love and support of these people.
First of all I'd like to thank my wife Holly who has believed in me
since I purchased my first camera and continues to push me. I'd like to
thank Patrick McNamara, Alex Elliot, and Alexey Meerow who have all
contributed to this site in more ways than they know. Patrick, in
addition to doing all of the heavy lifting on this new site has been
supportive over the last 2 years allowing me to take time off from my
design position to pursue something I believe in.

Photography is about capturing the right moment and conveying an emotion. My philosophy on the process of capture is simply that it requires the ability to recognize the moment and the right “feel” to anticipate when to release the shutter.

Through my early academic career as a visual arts student at New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA), I was exposed to a plethora of different mediums and creative outlets. My interests always seemed to span the realm of creativity and there was seemingly no single subject that completely pacified me. It was at NOCCA that I was first introduced to 35mm photography and working in a darkroom. Jackson Hill (www.southernlights.com ), a Professional Photographer whom I still look up to, taught my first photography class.
